Abstract

Trust is a concept that originates in human affairs; even in this context, the question of how it should be measured and assessed remains unresolved. Lacking a consistent frame of reference, researchers into trust between humans and robots have measured it in myriad different ways, developing customised usecase scenarios on an ad hoc basis, focusing on variables that dominate their own field of enquiry. In this short paper, we discuss the benefits of sharing and reusing the most useful of such scenarios in an open access library and present the challenges—many of them unexpected—of realising that objective.
