Abstract

Plasmonic and dielectric metamaterials allow designing not only linear but also nonlinear optical response, such Kerr-nonlinearity and harmonic generation. Here, we discuss applications of anisotropic metamaterials and metasurfaces in active control of polarisation state of transmitted and reflected light on ultrafast timescales.
