Abstract
Photography is fundamentally interlaced with the architecture of windows. Rectangular openings that let in light while framing a view have long served as technological and narrative devices for understanding the practice of ‘writing with light’. This article discusses the new iteration of the role of windows as framing devices for both photographic technology and photographic practice before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. Article available both in English and Spanish.
